The Mauritanian Government has officially signed the
Convention on the 12th of June 1992. The Convention has been
ratified on the 16th of August 1996.

document is a follow up to the Country study prepared in 1998. The
strategy elaborates practical and operational goals and objectives in
order to link up with international conservation efforts
