Technical and Scientific Cooperation
The Clearing House Mechanism is established as a tool to promote technical and scientific cooperation (Article 18.3) under the Convention on Biological Diversity.
The Belgian Clearing-House is promoting this cooperation by collaborating with partners within Belgium, abroad and by developing it's partnership role with developing countries CHM's.
This section of the site will give you information on different aspect of technical and scientific cooperation that have been regrouped under different headings:
Contact: Names and addresses of people and institutes that want to collaborate towards technical and scientific cooperation;
Funding: Announced tenders for research on Belgian, European and world-wide levels, possible sources;
Partnership: Information on the partnership role that the Belgian Clearing-House offers to developing countries;
Projects: Biodiversity projects that have published their results, a special section will be devoted to best practices in the future.
