The programme PROTA intends to survey, compile, edit, publish and disseminate existing knowledge on some 7000 useful plants of Tropical Africa. The National Center for Forests Seeds (CNSF) is involved in this programme.

"Optimizing Biological Diversity Within Wildlife Ranching Systems: A Pilot Demonstration in a Semiarid Zone". Research programme by the Ministry of Environment, financed with GEF funding. Duration: 1999-2000

Improved management of agroforestry parkland systems in Sub-Saharan Africa. EU funded research project with participation of CNSF in Burkina Faso.
